My Story

For more than two decades, my world was defined by precision, structure, and compliance. With my mathematical and technical education I built my career in corporate America—leading in audit, compliance, ESG, data privacy, and risk management—where every detail mattered and every decision carried weight. Discipline, integrity, accountability and sustainability became second nature to me.

Yet behind the spreadsheets, policies, and boardroom discussions, there was always a quiet pull toward something different—something expressive, soulful, and healing. That “something” was art.

Meraki, a Greek word meaning to put your heart, soul, and creativity into what you do, captures the essence of my journey. Painting began as a personal sanctuary even from my elementary school days. It has always been a way to release stress and reconnect with myself. Each brushstroke felt like therapy, helping me transform the weight of corporate pressures into color, form, and meaning.

What started as a private outlet evolved into Meraki Visual Arts – Tanya’s Atelier: a space where discipline meets freedom, and art becomes more than expression—it becomes healing. Here, I bring the same care and rigor from my corporate career to create art with purpose: to inspire resilience, to spark reflection, and to offer balance in a world that often feels overwhelming.

Today, Meraki Visual Arts is not just about creating artwork—it’s about creating connection. It’s about showing that art can be therapy, that creativity can restore peace, and that even the most structured lives can find renewal in color and canvas.

This is my story: from compliance to creativity, from regulation to resilience—an ongoing journey of transforming stress into strength and art into healing.
